Outpatient Therapy (OPT) services at Carolina Outreach include assessment and individual, group, or family therapy. Outpatient therapies utilize evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Seeking Safety, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Family Systems Therapy, Seven Challenges, or SPARCS, and groups employ the Wellness Recovery and Management model.
Services are provided by or under the supervision of a licensed therapist trained in the evidence-based practice he/she is providing. Clients typically meet with their therapist once a week at our office. OPT may be provided in conjunction with other Carolina Outreach services. Outpatient therapy groups at Carolina Outreach are designed to accommodate a variety of different needs, and they provide the following:
- Coping strategies for
- substance abuse
- other mental and emotional struggles
All groups are facilitated or supervised by a licensed clinician. Participation requires that an individual be a Carolina Outreach client. In some cases, a referral from a therapist is also required.
